Marisol Goia

Marisol is currently studying for a doctoral degree in urban anthropology at Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Catalonia, Spain). She holds a master’s in sociology and anthropology and a degree in social sciences, both from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

She has received research grants from CNPq, Capes and the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. She collaborated with ISER in research to diagnose the social impact on communities living in the area of influence of Alcoa mining company, together with its corporate social responsibility institute (Instituto Alcoa).

Her research interests include topics pertaining to the meaning of urban spaces, and the individual and society. She is currently studying urban territory as an intangible asset for organizations.
